Equidad promotes equality between women and men in Mexico. For over 20 years, we have strengthened women’s civic participation and leadership by advocating for gender mainstreaming in public policies. We are members of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC).
We coordinate the Women’s Major Group providing follow-up to the sustainable development agenda, and are part of the Advisor Group of the Civil Society of UN Women Mexico, among other stages.
We are a feminist organization that promotes gender equality, as well as the rule of law, by advocating for public policies with a gender perspective, and strengthening women’s leadership and civil participation in all areas of political and social life
Contribute the creation of a democratic society with broad citizen participation where women and men can make decisions about their lives, and where the rules of law and gender responsive institutions exist.
